Product Details
Caninsulin is an intermediate acting insulin product containing porcine insulin, which is structurally identical to canine insulin. Caninsulin vials can be administered with specfic 40 IU sterile single-use syringes.
Indications for use:
It is indicated in cases of diabetes mellitus (insulin deficiency) in dogs and cats, where the required blood levels are achieved by using an individually adjusted dose of the product.
Storage:
Caninsulin should be protected from light and high temperatures.
Keep Caninsulin refrigerated at 2 oC to 8 oC.
Do not freeze Caninsulin because this will denature it.
Store insulin vials upright to avoid crystallisation around the stopper.
Use Caninsulin contents within 28 days of first broaching the vial.
