Compagel gel is an anti-inflammatory treatment that is used to treat swelling and bruising in horses. Compagel can be used to treat tendonitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis and other acute inflammatory conditions.
Compagel gel aids the early reabsorption of haematoma and oedematous swelling resulting from such conditions.
The gel also has a mild soothing and pain-relieving effect which can help reduce the feelings of itchiness on the horse which will help prevent the horse from rubbing and causing further damage to the affected area.
The gel is supplied in a tube that can be gently massaged into the affected areas on the horse. Use up to a total daily quantity of 50 g gel per day which should be applied using fingertip pressure onto the affected area. This should continue until according to the veterinary surgeon’s instructions until signs and symptoms can no longer be seen.
