Is Isathal an antibiotic?
Isathal contains the active ingredient Fusidic Acid which is an antibiotic treatment used to treat eye infections such as conjunctivitis in cats, dogs and rabbits.
How quickly does Isathal work?
Isathal is a sustained release formulation that ensures prolonged retention within the conjunctival sac providing inhibitory levels of Fusidic Acid against sensitive organisms. If no improvement is seen after 5 days treatment then it is recommended to get a further assessment carried by the veterinary surgeon.
How long should I use fusidic acid eye drops?
The length of treatment will be determined by the veterinary surgeon following a clinical assessment. If no improvement is seen after 5 days of treatment then it is recommended to get a further assessment carried out by the veterinary surgeon.
Which antibiotic eye drops are safe for dogs?
There are a wide range of prescription only antibiotic eye drops licensed for use in dogs. If required your veterinary surgeon will determine which one is most suitable for your dog depending on the type of bacteria causing the infection.

You can upload your prescription via the website as part of the checkout process or, if preferred you can email it to us at prescriptions@thepharmpetco.co.uk or fax it to 01522 692231.
When emailing or faxing your prescription to us please write your order number at the top of the prescription to help us match it against your account.
